Executive Coaching

​

Coaching is an efficient and effective way to support executives and professionals to realize their potential by increasing their self-awareness and challenging them to improve by overcoming (perceived) obstacles and/or barriers.

​

Coaching is more than just having a good conversation or teaching someone something. Coaching is a profession that requires knowledge, skills, and experience, and above all, a careful and responsible approach. It demands methodical work, the conscious use of techniques, and the ability to switch between different styles, depending on the individual, the need, and the situation.

​

The right Coaches do not focus on their own experiences or opinions. They understand their personal pitfalls and preferences. Instead of telling Coachee’s how something "should" be done, the Coach helps them discover what works for them.

​

Coaching is suitable for executives and professionals with deeper questions about their motivations, who want to strengthen their self-awareness, or who are facing important (career) decisions, and for whom training is ineffective. A coaching process offers the opportunity to explore the underlying causes of current behavior or choices, or what hinders them from demonstrating desired behavior or making well-founded choices.

The power of coaching lies in asking the right questions, fostering reflection, and encouraging self-awareness. Change is sustainable when it comes from within: when ownership and trust lead to making choices and taking action.

​

Coachees often have a reasonable to good self-image of their strengths and weaknesses. For them, the question isn't so much what they need to change to be more successful, but rather where their passion lies, what drives them, and where their potential lies. This requires more than just skills and techniques; it often involves adjusting a frame of reference, adapting a self-image, or personal norms and values. These themes are precisely what lend themselves to a one-on-one process.

The right Coach will offer minimal (unsolicited) advice unless the Coachee explicitly requests it. But even then, the right Coach remains cautious: they offer perspectives rather than solutions. This way, the Coachee remains in control, learning to chart their own course. "Coaching" therefore, isn't about transferring knowledge, but about facilitating growth - with respect, attention, and professional distance.
